These terms govern your use of Bygones, a web application and related materials available at retroactivejealousy.app and app.retroactivejealousy.app ("the Services"). The Services are operated by MB "Pažangus pažinimas", company code 304984254, Kazio Ulvydo g. 5-11, Vilnius, Lithuania ("Bygones", "we", "us"). Bygones is a self-help wellness product informed by exposure and response prevention (ERP) principles. It is not therapy, medical care, diagnosis, or treatment, and it does not provide medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice. Content is for informational and self-help purposes only. You remain responsible for your own decisions and wellbeing. You must be at least 18 to use the Services. Sign-in is by email link; you are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure and for activity that occurs through your sign-in. Information you provide must be accurate. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Bygones is sold as an auto-renewing subscription, plus an optional one-time purchase (The Retroactive Jealousy Handbook, a PDF).
The exact amount charged today, the renewal amount, and the renewal date are shown at checkout before you pay. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime via Manage subscription (the customer portal linked from the app's settings); if you cancel before the end of your current period, you keep access until that period ends.
Your first subscription purchase is covered by a 14-day money-back guarantee. Refunds are available only within this 14-day period, and provided the product has been actively used for at least 7 separate days within the first 14 days (or, for the 1-week introductory subscription, at least 4 days within the first 7). Usage is verified automatically from your account activity; you do not need to supply proof yourself. To request a refund, email hello@retroactivejealousy.app within the guarantee period. Renewal charges after the first payment, and one-time purchases whose download has been delivered, are non-refundable except where consumer law provides otherwise. Nothing in these terms limits the mandatory rights you hold as an EU consumer.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Bygones does not collect, hold, or store your card details or other sensitive payment information.
The Services and their content, including the program, scripts, the Handbook, text, design, and software, are owned by us or our licensors. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use them for your own non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, resell, redistribute, scrape, decompile, or create derivative works from the Services or the Handbook without written permission.
You agree not to misuse the Services, including: attempting to breach security or access other users' data, automated scraping or bulk access, uploading malicious code, using the Services for unlawful purposes, or reselling access. We may restrict or terminate access for violations.
Text you write inside the app (for example notes, plans, exercise responses, conversations) remains yours. You grant us the limited licence needed to store and process it in order to run the Services, as described in the privacy policy. We may use anonymised, aggregated usage information to improve the product.
We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Services, and we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may update these terms; material changes will be posted on this page with a new date, and continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
The Services are provided on an as-is and as-available basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will meet your requirements or produce any particular outcome; self-help outcomes vary and no method works for everyone.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits or data, arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the six months before the claim arose. These limitations do not apply where prohibited by mandatory consumer protection law.
You agree to indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your breach of these terms or misuse of the Services.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence. Disputes may be brought before the courts of Lithuania or, for EU consumers, the courts of your home member state. EU consumers may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
